With the world stone destroyed, all 7 evils free and Wisdom having fallen to madness it is entirely possible that those who fought against her now view her as humanities only hope, a necessary evil and sacrifice to spare Humanity from destruction from both Heaven and Hell. This future with a lack of free will and effective enslavement by her is what drove the revolution that removed her. If humanity wants or needs this kind of help is another question and likely what the plot of Diablo IV will focus around.įrom what I understood from the lore within Diablo III RoS, Lilith did not hate the humanity she created, but rather wanted to lead/use them to fight Heaven and Hell so she, and the Nephalim under her, could rule supreme. It is entirely possible the motives of returning her are with good intention, to help Humanity in its darkest time. Just because Lilith is a demon does not necessarily mean her children would view her as pure or inherently evil.
